The Ultimate Fighter 10

Season 10 of the Ultimate Fighter is underway and this year’s weight class is heavyweight. The coaches this year are Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans, who seem to be dying to kick each others heads in. So far all the UFC’s marketing for the show and most of the show itself has centered around the presences of Kimbo Slice. For anyone who doesn’t know who Kimbo Slice is, just Youtube him and you will see him fighting random street thugs for money as well as the occasional eye hanging out of a man’s face.
So far it seems the UFC is really trying to build an audience around the idea of Kimbo fighting in the ring and/or fighting in the house. After seeing the first three episodes it is clear why the UFC is scrambling to build a buzz solely for Kimbo, and that reason is simply that the season blows. It seems that the UFC and Dana White were so busy trying to get Kimbo that they forgot to find some fighters with actual talent. So far this season the fights have consisted of one man being brutally tossed around and beaten over the head for ten straight minutes without mounting a single ounce of defense or offense, an ex-NFL monster throwing four punches followed by the inability to move for the next nine minutes of the fight due to fatigue, and Kimbo getting dominated by 265 lb fat mess who thinks the Ultimate Fighter is on PPV every week.
It was a mistake to have an Ultimate Fighter season revolve around the heavyweight decision as this division was dead for years, only to be shortly revived by Brock Lesner. In my opinion that buzz will die down soon as it will be seen that there isn’t a challenger in the world to give Lesner a good fight. Of course, the show has had it’s best rating ever do to the Kimbo freak show but it is in jeopardy of losing true UFC followers, like myself. Hopefully some of the future fights show some kind of real talent and skills and stop with the gimmicks.

Ebayer’s Anonymous

I have officially become an Ebay addict and its time for an intervention. I’ve noticed recently that I am showing all the signs of a full fledged addict. It started yesterday when I found myself in a dark alley in a bad neighborhood searching the Ebay app on my Iphone so my girlfriend wouldn’t catch me. She’s been a little ticked at me since she caught me last week stealing money from her purse to finance the Nike Sumo Sasquatch driver I basically stole off Ebay. She went on to tell me that the first six drivers I bought this year were just as good and that I was getting out of hand. This sent me into a fit of rage when it was obvious that this driver would add 5-8 yards to my already mammoth drive and cut 1-2 stokes of my handicap. Since then I’ve sold that driver on Ebay for a small loss and purchased the same one in a different degree, something that any rationale person would do. I currently have 342 items on my watch list, which is skewed a bit due to the fact that I am watching three different sizes in certain sweaters. I plan on purchasing them all this way I’ll be guaranteed a good fit. If anyone else has this problem please leave any advice you have in the comment box. Is there an Ebayer’s Anonymous, some sort of patch, or maybe a hypnotist?

Lebron james movie is something that i've actually put on my calendar. 'More than a game' looks to be more than another basketball movie as its actual footage of lebron in high school dunking like he's a grown man. I'm a huge Jesus Shuttlesworth fan from He got game, the only real basketball movie i liked (other than Blue Chips, but how can you admit that). Your not going to beat a movie with denzel, basketball, and ray allen banging two pornstars - but this has a shot.

How does Khloe Kardashian (the heavy one, i said it.) marry Lamar Odom after dating him for a month. If you've ever seen this show, this girl is a total train wreck with guys. Better yet, what was Lamar Odom actually thinking? He could have done a ton of due diligence just watching the show i guess. In true The Rake spirit, lets gamble on this divorce - i say under 5 months. Hold me to it.

when the going gets tough - ochocinco gets going. Over at The Rake, we're avid sports fans. We pride ourselves on expert football picks and overly large high-def televisions to watch them on.
